2004

27 December

Two Mexican guys came to us after the performance and in a beautiful german they said that they studied for 6 years in Voronezh in Russia. We laughed a while, sang, and laughed again. They said we are speaking in nagua in "Ketzal". An old language where a word assembled from hues isn't supposed to be translated or analyzed. The words in this language are crystals. The old light sleeps inside of them. And it's shining never ends. And it's sense is individual to each word. Leon knows nagua. We wanted to hear how it sounds for a night Dresden. He could not start speaking.
- Just tell me about you, - asked someone.
- I can not speak about myself in nagua.
- Then tell us, when it will come back.

And Leon has found his tongue.

DEREVO completed the year 2004 with a translation of the first chapter of KETZAL (the chapter was titled "Nest") in it's own language. 7 sold-out performances in Projekttheater in Dresden confirmed the overall answer to many question, which DEREVO was always asked like "Maybe you are…" and the truth that lives in a fist of a child was proved: the rule exist anyway, either you break it or follow it.

And it is important to let you know that a group of people called "DEREVO Laboratorium" successfully got through the next exam. Those 11 who passed worth a real attention.
