A week passed - my dreams haven’t changed
Endless celebrating faces, colourful flyers on the ground, the city covered with thousands
of posters, all the shows, performances, concerts…
We’ve barely left and we want to come back again
To go out in the street and look around, proudly thinking: there’s more of us, actors, here
than of you, visitors.

We played 24 shows in 26 days

What happened:
Makhina debuted in the role of Oleg
Alexey Popov debuted as Cupid
Never sleeping, Merkushev drove his standard 5000 km
People came who saw ONCE… 20 years ago
People came who had never seen ONCE… the children of those first ones

David ran onto the stage for the first time

What didn’t happen:
Guiness beer (god knows why)
A visit to ‘Sharmanka’ (what a shame)
Any quarrels coming from exhaustion (surprising for the Fringe)

I think a hamster running in a wheel must be happy!

Der Bekannte hieß Nesta. Ich weiß nicht mehr, ob es ein Spitzname war oder eine Abkürzung des Familiennamens. Nichts Besonderes: leise Stimme, stets dem Gesprächspartner halb zugewandt. Immer derselbe Pullover „á la barde“ aus den Sechzigern. Weiße, leicht füllige Hände.
Zwei Dinge machten ihn in unserer Gruppe zu etwas Besonderem. Zum Beispiel fragte er, ob jemand das Buch von Lorca „Der Gang ohne Eile“ hat, oder ob jemand die Metal-Band „Skula“ aus Wolgograd gehört hätte? Das eine wie das andere hatte er sich ausgedacht, doch es blieb unauslöschlich im Gedächtnis hängen.
Und das Zweite war: Nach dem Essen in der Mensa des Instituts gingen wir in den Hof, setzten uns auf eine abgelegene Bank, Nesta zog sein Hemd hoch und wir sahen zu, wie sein Magen arbeitete. Über den Bauch liefen die Wellen der Verdauung. Der Anblick hypnotisierte. Als er es uns zum ersten Mal zeigte, sagte er „die Schiffe in Liss“, und er zog uns ein für alle Mal in seinen Bann, indem er den schwarz-weißen Schnauzbart A. Grins vor dem Hintergrund des hüpfenden Bauchnabels erstehen ließ.

Das Publikum kämpft mit den ewigen „Planeten“ und dem aktuellen DEREVO.

Wir treten auf dem Territorium der Fragen auf.
„Ist das Theater?“
„Was ist das?“

Früher brauchten wir weniger Zeit, um das Publikum in die Zone des bezahlten Wahnsinns hineinzuführen.

I was quite full of wonder after my brief visit to Moscow to the Lumiere Gallery.

I hadn’t expected that so many people were still able to walk slowly and speak gently, to look into your eyes and even to listen to you without meddling with their iphones right in front of your face. I’m speaking of the visitors to the exhibition and to my gig there.

The exhibition Time of the Bells is a VERY GOOD one. Thank you to Nastya and all other organisers behind the scenes.

Meanwhile the DEREVO studio in Dresden has been turned into a filming location. A motion picture in progress is:
