Night voices
Voice one. A whisper.
"...Hi, did I awaken you? Oh, sorry... it's a different time
here, i didn't mind... Happy New Year!.. and goback to sleep, sorry.
...well, no. It was a silent party, they all were so tired, and
have already dropped away... OK, stay fit, remain in a good health...
it's the most important... yeah... thanks, bye-bye..."
Voice two. Simple voice.
"...Well, so... I'm not going to say too much, but let's hope
that everything goes even better in the New Year! With God's help"
Voice three. Well educated voice.
"...the world going weak. A perceptible weakening is occuring
among people in positions of power, there through a trick of fortune
or through the inertia of people, or maybe even there because of
money... A sense of purpose,a volition, loyalty to ideals, these
are not the dynamics of our civilization anymore. Instead global
stress, informational nonsense, illiteracy, the invisible dissolution
of people's spirituality... Millions are drowning in the Net. Sex,
money, violence... It's not interesting at all.
Yet another event is rather curious.
Somehow the personal power of an individual has risen rather a
lot... It's much easier to achieve a desired (but let's leave desires
out of the focus of discussion and criticism). It means that the
actions of any person - a healthy individual or an invalid - are
less dependent on any social order. A higher spiritual potency is
winning in every unchained human being. The long Anarchy is out
there. And almost everything, or perhaps, everything, now depends
on yourself only.
Voice four. A shouting voice.
"...Congratulations, friends!!! Keep everything that brings
us beautiful astonishment, happiness, desire to change ourselves,
to move ourselves. Keep it and give to others!!! We are humans!
And we are not made so badly afterall... We'll clean ourselves!
Go on! I say you MUST have happiness, health and success in the
New Year 2004!!!..."
Voice five. A stutterer.
"...no, I'm at home... just wanted to stay alone... hear me...
I was at the market yesterday, you know, that one... of second-hand
things... saw a teddy-bear, the same type that I had when I was
a child... well, look... not exactly the same... My teddy lost one
of his eyes, and this one had both... you understand me? It's like
time went backwards. This one was younger... and so I stood there
and looked, and he calls me to go into the forest... no, I didn't
buy him... Yeah... Alright, and to you too... bye..." |
