| May 20 |  We
build, we saw and dub, we paint and sew and we paint again... We have a
guest here - Vadim Vasil'ev, an artist. If you already saw "SUICIDE",
you can go and look it once again: at least 150 square meters covered with
painted standarts!!! It would be nice to be in time to sew the costumes
with new designs, if there is a time... Though, as very honourable people
have said, we have a lot of time! 12 days remain till our departure to Montpelier
and to the 'OEROL' (see
tour-plan).
And more... In a huge tree which grows in our yard lives the nightingale whose younglings are out now. As yet they sing not so harmoniously but very loud... |

| May 9 |  We've
already played 'THE RIDER' here, at home, in DEREVO-LABORATORIUM. The huge
interest of the Dresden public was proved by a complete SOLD OUT already
through reservations: No tickets left at the door, but still there were
queues for a small chance to sneak in by the "Waiting List" (a
few people were lucky...). Our telephone lines nearly broke down, some small
"scandals" happened at the box office... Pleasantly the visits
to our Website rose at least twice in these days. The only upset was that
we did not find the horse...
Now the rehearsals of 'REFLECTION' have started, which will be shown at the end of this week (11. - 13. May, 21:00). Again we are completely booked out, but here is an advice for people who are in Dresden. If you have not reserved your tickets you can try to come at 20:00 for the box office opening and enter the "WARTELISTE". There is a small hope that someone will not pick reserved tickets up. If you are among the first ten FORTUNE MAY SMILE UPON YOU... |

| April 27 | Here we have great updates! Much more visual elements were added to the site. Be attentive! And have more joy. And also, 'projects' page appeared though only link to the 'Nutcracker' photos is activated. BTW, in the middle of May Anton will go again to St.Petersburg for new rehearsals of 'Nutcracker' in Mariinsky theater. Mikhail Chemiakin still does not satisfied with the result achieved and will improve the show before performance on June 2 which will become a part of the annual "White nights' stars" festival. |

| April 26 |  Spring has come to Europe and particulary to DEREVO-LABORATORIUM. All have gathered from a short vacation: Tanya from Italy, Oleg from Poland, Lena from Korea, Chester Mueller and Karla have returned from France, where regular International theatrical meetings (IETM) were held. Now we rehearse and play in LABORATORIUM the performances "Rider" and "Reflection". For "Rider" natural horse was invited (for a smell and real sensations). |

Then was a has gainedderful meeting: Zen monks came to the show (their names are Mu Shim Sunim, Chi Lin Sunim, Myong Gong Sunim, Kwan Haeng Sunim, Bo Haeng Sunim, Kwan Hyon Sunim and Kwan Il Sunim). During the conversation after performance Zen-master Mu Shim Sunim has said, that our job is much in common with their activity. His word has become the most inspiring compliment for us. After that we have conducted some time at Seoul International Zen Center, in a monastery Hwa Gye Sa. |

| April 3 | We are in Seoul (South Korea) now. From April 5th till 8th we'll play here "Once...". And we've been quite surprised when found that April 5th is the celebration of national korean day for planting the trees and April 8th is the greatest Holiday this year - it's Buddah's birthday. We are very happy to perform in Korea during such important celebrations. And we can also notice you that we open here 'Russia festival'. More info about it you'll find at www.lgart.com |

| March 31 | We finished our russian tour and are back in Dresden. Two days later we'll go to Seoul (South Korea) where for the second time we'll perform the "Once..." at LG Art Center. |

| March 26 | DEREVO already presented 'SUICIDE' at "Golden mask" Festival. And we also have some more good news. On March 28 Anton will carry out a workshop at the MHAT Studio (begins at 11.00). The same day our 16 mm b/w movie 'Süd. Grenze' may be premiered in Moscow. |

First day of 'SUICIDE' in St.Petersburg. We perform inside of TV-studio, the biggest one for the city state television. Everything goes almost well. |

news! We were happy to receive the “Support Prize” of Advanta Management
AG which is given by a local jury as part of “Kunstpreis Dresden 2000”. That
means that after 4 years of working in Dresden DEREVO was totally recognized
by this city and this land. |

| March 7 | In the beginning of February Anton Adassinsky took part in a premiere of a new version of Tchaikovsky's 'Nutcracker' staged by Mikhail Chemiakin and Valery Gergiev in the worldwide-famous Mariinsky theater. By the suggestion of Mikhail Chemiakin Anton played Drosselmeier. At the moment, we know that Anton will appear on the Marrinsky's stage few more times. At least, March 10 & 31, April 1 & 22. We had a press-conference at "Premier" Casino on Nevsky. Nice that there were no questions like 'why did you called your group DEREVO (tree)?', 'why did you left Russia?' and 'how do you feel yourself abroad?' We answered the questions about books, theater and particularly lacking of a real theatrical education in Russia and St.Petersburg. |
